One way to generate power is by stance shifting. We generally shift from back to front stance to generate the most power overall, by doing so simply start in a back stance and push your heel out and your body forward using the ball of your foot. once the ball of your foot pushes then twist your hips forward, then the shoulder and finally the hand technique. Be sure and relax the body and mind before shifting, don't force it just let your body move the way its meant to. I suggest isolating the stance shift first and then after apply the hand technique of your choosing.
